Calgary Foreclosures – Finding the Gems

Hello fellow real estate investor, I want to introduce you to my blog about Calgary foreclosures. My wife (Joan) and I have been investing in real estate, and more specifically Calgary real estate for over 10 years now. In those ten years, we’ve had some great successes but also a few headaches.

As you can imagine, the first 5 or so years investing in Calgary properties was really quite straightforward and easy. The market just kept going up. It was almost like we couldn’t fail. In fact, I hate to admit it, but I thought that I was a real estate investing wizard! Little did I know. As the saying goes, pride comes before a fall. And in the last few years we’ve taken a couple of bumps. Nothing serious, but we’ve had to sell a couple of our properties for less than we bought them for. Not a lot less, $10,000 to $20,000 less, but still, it smarted.

But in the last couple of years we’ve started investing in Calgary foreclosures. Calgary foreclosure homes have become a wonderful opportunity for us to really speed up our retirement income. And we owe it all to a young guy named Aiden from the city of champions. Yes, Edmonton. Now we’re huge Flames fans, so we won’t hold that against him! But this guy sure knows how to find foreclosures in Calgary. In fact he’s a real estate wizard all over western Canada.

I have to tell you, I loved investing in Calgary homes, but when Joan and I started looking into Calgary foreclosures, that’s when we really started to see the income potential of foreclosure homes in Calgary. We feel like we’ve found the golden goose that will take care of our retirement in the next 10 years or less. Freedom 55 is looking more and more certain.

Anyway, we just wanted to share our passion for investing in Calgary real estate with our visitors. And we hope that you’ll learn some new things that will help your real estate investing wherever you may be. But if you’re in Calgary, we’d strongly suggest that you look into Calgary foreclosures. With the economy the way it is, now couldn’t be a better time.

Warm regards,
